There was no comment from Al Shabaab over the claims.
On Sunday, six people were killed and 14 others injured in suicide bomb attack on local government office in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The attack was claimed by Al Shabaab.
The group has been waging insurgency in Somalia for more than 10 years.
However, Al-Shabaab, which once controlled much of Somali capital Mogadishu in 2011, wants topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
